On Friday, October 30, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host the All-County Choir event at Christiansburg High School (CHS), bringing together secondary students from across the district for a day of collaborative music-making and an evening concert open to the public.
This landmark gathering marks the first MCPS All-County Choir event held in several years, featuring approximately 100 dedicated students in grades 8 through 12 representing all four school strands. To prepare for the occasion, five MCPS choir directors have spent weeks working with students outside of regular class instruction to master an expanded repertoire.
Throughout the day on October 30, students will participate in intensive rehearsals alongside a guest conductor and guest accompanist inside the CHS facilities. The event will culminate in a special showcase performance open to the local community.
